Candice Wood is the executive director and co-founder of the Georg Solti Accademia di Bel Canto. The Accademia specialises in the training of young opera singers and repetiteurs. Candice founded the Accademia in 2004 together with Lady Solti, wife of the late Sir Georg Solti and Jonathan Papp. The Accademia has grown from strength to strength, and now manages 2 festivals, events and concerts throughout the year.

In 2004 she organised and co- directed the Amiata Summit, the first of its kind created to nurture innovation in a craft so indispensable to the world of music, to honor and revitalise the traditions of violinmaking

Before dedicating herself to the creation and organisation of high profile music events, she worked as an agent for opera singers at Firenze Musica in Florence, and as a professional violinist in the orchestra of Santa Cecilia Rome, and the Orchestra Regionale della Toscana. Candice holds a degree in Musicology from King’s College, London University, and a Masters in Performance from the Royal Academy of Music London. She was educated at Sherborne School for Girls, Dorset and the Purcell School of Music London.
