The Solti Legacy

"I am delighted that the young singers of the Accademia can enjoy the place my husband loved. Italy and Castiglione were very important to him."

– VALERIE SOLTI

Founded in 2004 by Valerie Solti, Jonathan Papp, and Candice Wood, the Solti Accademia is the embodiment of a long-held dream by Valerie’s husband – the late Maestro Georg Solti. Maestro Solti always wished to setup a school in Italy where he could pass on what he learned from his mentors to the next generation. The Solti Accademia exists to bring that dream to life.

The Faculty

Creating a supportive, highly-effective mentorship environment depends upon connecting young artists with an exceptional faculty. The Accademia has a rotating faculty each of year of permanent and guest teachers, including some of the best opera singers, conductors, vocal coaches, language experts, and industry professionals of today. Past faculty has included Jonathan Papp (Artistic Director of the GSA), Maestro Richard Bonynge, Barbara Frittoli, Leo Nucci, Angela Gheorghiu, Jose Carreras, and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, among many others.
